As a lifeguard working in an impoverished part of town, I found the importance of making valuable relationships from a young age. This understanding influenced me to work in a career in youth services where relationships are vital. In this work, I experienced how a lack of opportunity could lead individuals down a path of demotivation and dangerous coping mechanisms. I continue to take great pride in working hard to provide opportunities to our youth. My American Dream, as shaped by this past experience, is equitable access to opportunity for everyone”.

I compete in climbing competitions. After my injury I was told I would never be able to climb again, but I beat the odds. I am currently back in school studying to be a sports psychologist because I know how hard it is to be told that you can’t persevere. My American Dream is to be able to spark motivation and hope in people.

I am a senior in high school who values spending time in nature and seeking out constant thrills. I enjoy living my life at a fast pace and commend my family for being able to keep up with me. I want my future job to be one that lets me explore places that I have never been to before. My American Dream is to live an adventurous and healthy life. As long as I have my health, I have the opportunity to create happiness for myself.
The American dream isn’t the stereotypical rags to riches story. It is about having the opportunity to embrace your own dreams, without fear of persecution. We support this belief. Let us help you explore your dreams.
